PPF Mornington

PPF near Mornington

Liquid R serves Mornington and the rest of Melbourne’s south east from one workshop in Mitcham, about 54.3 km away and roughly 60 minutes by car outside peak hour. PPF, the clear film that stops stone chips, starts at $180 for headlights and runs to $5980 for every painted panel, with a full front from $1980.

The film is a clear urethane layer with a self-healing top coat, so light scratches relax out in the sun. We fit it in our own indoor bays, with the maker’s warranty on the film and ours on the installation, plus a free check in the first month.

Prices are the same wherever you live: the quote depends on the car, not the postcode. Call 1800 985 880 or text 0483 930 888 to book.

Bonnet, front bumper, guards and mirrors in self-healing film, about two days in the workshop. Freeway gravel lands almost entirely on the front third of a car, which is why most daily drivers stop here.

Films We Fit

Clear gloss and satin films come from Defcon Films Australia first, with STEK as our second range. STEK DYNO films carry a ten year warranty against yellowing, bubbling, cracking and delamination.

Near the Water

Cars kept close to the bay in Mornington collect salt and sand on every drive. Clear film takes the abrasion on the front and sills, and it is far cheaper to refresh than paint.

Headlight protection film being fitted to a red Audi

Headlight Film from $180

Polycarbonate headlight lenses yellow and pit, and a modern headlight unit can cost more than a full front of film. Precut clear film keeps them clear and goes on in under an hour while you wait.

Washing a Filmed Car

pH neutral shampoo, a soft mitt, no brush car washes, and keep the pressure washer a hand span from film edges. Bird droppings and sap should come off promptly, and stubborn water spots come out at our counter in minutes. The full routine is on our aftercare page.

Mornington Customers, One Workshop

Liquid R has one workshop, in Mitcham, and it is a fair drive from Mornington. Customers make the trip because the work is done indoors by our own team rather than in a driveway, and we plan the booking so it takes one visit, not several. More about who we are, and if you are comparing shops, our guide to the best PPF in Melbourne lists what to check.

Booking and Turnaround

Headlight film is under an hour, a full front about two days and full body film about a week. Because of the distance, we plan the work so the car needs one drop-off and one pickup, even when several jobs are booked together. We confirm the timing when you book.

Ceramic coating being applied with an applicator block

PPF or Ceramic Coating

Film stops stone chips. A ceramic coating makes the car easier to wash and holds the gloss, but does nothing against impacts. Plenty of owners run film on the front and a coating over the rest. Our PPF vs ceramic coating guide compares them.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

How far is Liquid R from Mornington?

The workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 54.3 km from Mornington, roughly 60 minutes by car outside peak hour.

Do Mornington customers pay the same price?

No. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car in?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

Is PPF worth it?

For cars that do freeway kilometres, usually yes. One repainted bumper costs more than a wear and tear pack.

Can PPF go on a used car?

Yes. The paint is decontaminated and machine polished where needed first, then filmed.
