Ceramic Coating Mornington

Ceramic Coating Mornington: Done in Mitcham

Mornington drivers come to Liquid R in Mitcham for ceramic coating. The workshop is about 54.3 km from Mornington, roughly 60 minutes by car outside peak hour. Ceramic coating starts at $980 on bare paint, including decontamination and machine polish, and new car packages start at $1090.

Preparation is most of the job: a foam pre-wash, iron and tar removal, clay and machine polishing under inspection lights before the coating goes on. We use Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light and Envoke ProCoat+ 7 Year Graphene Coating, cured indoors.

Customers from Mornington pay the same as everyone else, because the price follows the car and the work. Call 1800 985 880 or text 0483 930 888 to book.

Coated Indoors

Coating in a driveway lets wind-blown dust settle into the wet coating. Our bays are indoors, lit for inspection and kept at a steady temperature so the coating cures the way its maker intended.

Coatings Near the Bay

Salt spray and sea air settle on cars parked near the water. A coated surface releases that residue with a rinse, instead of holding it until the next wash drags it across the paint.

Gtechniq wheel coating being applied to an alloy wheel

Wheel Ceramic at $60 a Wheel

Brake dust bakes onto bare alloys and pits the finish. A wheel ceramic, $60 per wheel, handles the heat and lets the dust rinse off before it bonds.

Washing a Coated Car

pH neutral shampoo, a rinse before contact, no brush car washes, and a clean towel or blower to dry, as set out in our guide to washing a coated car. Done that way the coating keeps beading and nothing gritty gets dragged across the paint.

Planning the Visit

Coatings need curing time, so most cars stay with us for a couple of days. Coming from Mornington, it makes sense to combine jobs, such as film and coating, or a detail with tint, into one booking so the drive happens once. We confirm the timing when you book.

Coating Over PPF

A ceramic layer can go over paint protection film in the same booking for $650. The film takes the stone chips and the coating keeps it easy to wash.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

How far is Liquid R from Mornington?

The workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 54.3 km from Mornington, roughly 60 minutes by car outside peak hour.

Is pricing different for Mornington?

No. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car in?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

Ceramic or graphene coating?

Both protect the clear coat. Graphene is slicker and spots less on hot panels, which suits cars parked outside.

Does a ceramic coating stop stone chips?

No. It protects against UV, staining, water spots and wash marks. Stone chips need paint protection film.
