PPF Balwyn

PPF near Balwyn

Balwyn drivers come to Liquid R in Mitcham for PPF. The workshop is about 11.5 km from Balwyn, roughly 20 minutes by car outside peak hour. PPF, the clear film that stops stone chips, starts at $180 for headlights and runs to $5980 for every painted panel, with a full front from $1980.

The film is a clear urethane layer with a self-healing top coat, so light scratches relax out in the sun. We fit it in our own indoor bays, with the maker’s warranty on the film and ours on the installation, plus a free check in the first month.

Customers from Balwyn pay the same as everyone else, because the price follows the car and the work. Call 1800 985 880 or text 0483 930 888 to book.

Headlight Film from $180

Polycarbonate headlight lenses yellow and pit, and a modern headlight unit can cost more than a full front of film. Precut clear film keeps them clear and goes on in under an hour while you wait.

What Moves a PPF Quote

Panel area sets the base price and shape does the rest: a deep bumper full of sensors and vents takes far more film and time than a flat bonnet. Swirled or resprayed paint is machine polished first, from $850, because film shows what is under it. The full breakdown is in our PPF cost guide.

Car Park Knocks and Stone Chips

Local driving brings its own damage: door edges tapped in shopping centre car parks, handle cups scratched by rings, and stones from the car in front. A wear and tear pack from $380 covers the first two.

Edges Wrapped, Not Cut Short

The edge is the weak point of any film job. Where the panel allows it, film is wrapped around the edge and finished out of sight, so there is no line to see and nothing for a pressure washer to lift. It is one of the checks in our guide to the best PPF.

PPF on Utes, 4WDs and EVs

Utes get film on tray rails and tailgate edges, 4WD tourers get thicker Bushwrapz film, and electric cars with soft factory paint often go straight to full body film. Glass roofs can take Crystal Shield from $350.

Why Customers Come to Us

Balwyn is close enough that a separate branch would make no sense. All PPF work happens in Mitcham, in ten indoor bays, done by the same people who quote it. More about who we are, and if you are comparing shops, our guide to the best PPF in Melbourne lists what to check.

How Long the Car Stays

Headlight film is under an hour, a full front about two days and full body film about a week. We agree the drop-off and pickup times with you up front, so a trip from Balwyn fits your week rather than the other way round. We are open weekdays 8:30am to 5:00pm and Saturdays to 12:30pm.

Free Check in the First Month

Every film job includes a free inspection in the first month to look over the edges, and we suggest a yearly check after that. Booking it takes a phone call.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

How far is Liquid R from Balwyn?

The workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 11.5 km from Balwyn, roughly 20 minutes by car outside peak hour.

Is pricing different for Balwyn?

No. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car in?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

Should I get PPF or a ceramic coating?

Film stops stone chips and a coating makes the car easier to keep clean. Many owners do film on the front and a coating over the rest.

Can you see PPF once it is fitted?

Clear gloss film is very hard to spot because edges are wrapped and patterns are cut for the model.
