PPF Surrey Hills

PPF near Surrey Hills

Liquid R serves Surrey Hills and the rest of Melbourne’s east from one workshop in Mitcham, about 10.8 km away and roughly 20 minutes by car outside peak hour. PPF, the clear film that stops stone chips, starts at $180 for headlights and runs to $5980 for every painted panel, with a full front from $1980.

Every PPF job is cut by plotter for your model and finished with wrapped edges, indoors in one of our ten bays. Coverage runs from door edges and cups to the whole car, and a ceramic layer can go over the film for $650 in the same booking.

Prices are the same wherever you live: the quote depends on the car, not the postcode. Call 1800 985 880 or text 0483 930 888 to book.

Getting Here from Surrey Hills

Allow roughly 20 minutes from Surrey Hills outside peak hour. The route is about 10.8 km via Whitehorse Road, ending at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham, where there is parking out the front. Surrey Hills is on the same train line as us: Mitcham and Heatherdale stations are each about 1.5 km from the workshop, so leaving the car and taking the train home works. Directions and opening hours are on our contact page.

Headlight protection film being fitted

Headlight Film from $180

Polycarbonate headlight lenses yellow and pit, and a modern headlight unit can cost more than a full front of film. Precut clear film keeps them clear and goes on in under an hour while you wait.

How Self-Healing Film Works

PPF is urethane with an elastic top coat, one of the products and technologies we work with. Light scratches and wash marks sit in that top layer, and warmth from the sun or warm water relaxes them back out. A cut through the film is the damage that would otherwise have been in your paint.

Paint protection film being trimmed on a panel

Car Park Knocks and Stone Chips

Local driving brings its own damage: door edges tapped in shopping centre car parks, handle cups scratched by rings, and stones from the car in front. A wear and tear pack from $380 covers the first two.

Film on a New Car First

Film bonds best to paint that has never seen a freeway, so the ideal booking is straight from the dealer. We photograph any delivery defects before covering them, and new car packages bundle film with coating and tint.

Front end of a blue Polestar

Wear and Tear Pack from $380

Door cups, door edges and the boot ledge pick up marks on every car, however carefully it is driven. This pack covers them in clear film and is the cheapest way to keep a car looking looked after at trade-in.

Why Customers Come to Us

Surrey Hills is close enough that a separate branch would make no sense. All PPF work happens in Mitcham, in ten indoor bays, done by the same people who quote it. More about who we are, and if you are comparing shops, our guide to the best PPF in Melbourne lists what to check.

Planning the Visit

Headlight film is under an hour, a full front about two days and full body film about a week. For Surrey Hills customers we line up drop-off and pickup times when you book, so you know exactly which days the car is with us. We are open weekdays 8:30am to 5:00pm and Saturdays to 12:30pm.

PPF on Utes, 4WDs and EVs

Utes get film on tray rails and tailgate edges, 4WD tourers get thicker Bushwrapz film, and electric cars with soft factory paint often go straight to full body film. Glass roofs can take Crystal Shield from $350.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

How far is Liquid R from Surrey Hills?

The workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 10.8 km from Surrey Hills, roughly 20 minutes by car outside peak hour.

Is pricing different for Surrey Hills?

No. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car in?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

Can PPF go on a used car?

Yes. The paint is decontaminated and machine polished where needed first, then filmed.

Does PPF turn yellow?

Quality film is UV stable and warranted against yellowing by its maker. Yellowing is a problem of budget film.
