PPF Southbank

PPF Southbank: Fitted in Mitcham

Southbank drivers come to Liquid R in Mitcham for PPF. The workshop is about 28.5 km from Southbank, roughly 40 minutes by car outside peak hour. PPF, the clear film that stops stone chips, starts at $180 for headlights and runs to $5980 for every painted panel, with a full front from $1980.

Every PPF job is cut by plotter for your model and finished with wrapped edges, indoors in one of our ten bays. Coverage runs from door edges and cups to the whole car, and a ceramic layer can go over the film for $650 in the same booking.

Prices are the same wherever you live: the quote depends on the car, not the postcode. Call 1800 985 880 or text 0483 930 888 to book.

Southbank to Mitcham

From Southbank the workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 28.5 km away, roughly 40 minutes via Eastern Freeway Onramp outside peak hour. There is parking on site and a bay booked for your arrival. Directions and opening hours are on our contact page.

Bonnet, front bumper, guards and mirrors in self-healing film, about two days in the workshop. Freeway gravel lands almost entirely on the front third of a car, which is why most daily drivers stop here.

Interior PPF

Gloss black interior consoles and screen surrounds scratch from rings and keys within months. Optically clear interior film protects them without changing how they look or feel.

Car Park Knocks and Stone Chips

Local driving brings its own damage: door edges tapped in shopping centre car parks, handle cups scratched by rings, and stones from the car in front. A wear and tear pack from $380 covers the first two.

Edges Wrapped, Not Cut Short

The edge is the weak point of any film job. Where the panel allows it, film is wrapped around the edge and finished out of sight, so there is no line to see and nothing for a pressure washer to lift. It is one of the checks in our guide to the best PPF.

Washing a Filmed Car

pH neutral shampoo, a soft mitt, no brush car washes, and keep the pressure washer a hand span from film edges. Bird droppings and sap should come off promptly, and stubborn water spots come out at our counter in minutes. The full routine is on our aftercare page.

One Workshop, in Mitcham

Liquid R has one workshop, in Mitcham, and it is a fair drive from Southbank. Customers make the trip because the work is done indoors by our own team rather than in a driveway, and we plan the booking so it takes one visit, not several. More about who we are, and if you are comparing shops, our guide to the best PPF in Melbourne lists what to check.

Planning the Visit

Headlight film is under an hour, a full front about two days and full body film about a week. Because of the distance, we plan the work so the car needs one drop-off and one pickup, even when several jobs are booked together. We confirm the timing when you book.

PPF or Ceramic Coating

Film stops stone chips. A ceramic coating makes the car easier to wash and holds the gloss, but does nothing against impacts. Plenty of owners run film on the front and a coating over the rest. Our PPF vs ceramic coating guide compares them.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

How far is Liquid R from Southbank?

The workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 28.5 km from Southbank, roughly 40 minutes by car outside peak hour.

Do Southbank customers pay the same price?

No. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car in?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

Does PPF damage the paint when it comes off?

No. Professionally removed film releases with heat and leaves factory paint as it was when covered.

How much is PPF?

Headlight film starts at $180, the wear and tear pack at $380, a full front at $1980 and full body clear film is $5980. Larger vehicles and complex bodywork are quoted individually.
