PPF Footscray

PPF Footscray: Fitted in Mitcham

Footscray drivers come to Liquid R in Mitcham for PPF. The workshop is about 31.6 km from Footscray, roughly 45 minutes by car outside peak hour. PPF, the clear film that stops stone chips, starts at $180 for headlights and runs to $5980 for every painted panel, with a full front from $1980.

Most drivers start with a full front: bonnet, bumper, guards and mirrors in self-healing film, fitted from patterns cut for the exact model so no blade touches the paint. Clear gloss and satin films come from Defcon Films Australia first and STEK second, and both are warranted in writing.

Customers from Footscray pay the same as everyone else, because the price follows the car and the work. Call 1800 985 880 or text 0483 930 888 to book.

Getting Here from Footscray

From Footscray the workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 31.6 km away, roughly 45 minutes via Eastern Freeway outside peak hour. There is parking on site and a bay booked for your arrival. Directions and opening hours are on our contact page.

Edges Wrapped, Not Cut Short

The edge is the weak point of any film job. Where the panel allows it, film is wrapped around the edge and finished out of sight, so there is no line to see and nothing for a pressure washer to lift. It is one of the checks in our guide to the best PPF.

Wear and Tear Pack from $380

Door cups, door edges and the boot ledge pick up marks on every car, however carefully it is driven. This pack covers them in clear film and is the cheapest way to keep a car looking looked after at trade-in.

Freeway Kilometres on Eastern Freeway

Coming from Footscray usually means time on Eastern Freeway. Sitting behind traffic at freeway speed is the classic recipe for a chipped bonnet edge and a pitted bumper, which is why a full front is where most commuters start.

Free Check in the First Month

Every film job includes a free inspection in the first month to look over the edges, and we suggest a yearly check after that. Booking it takes a phone call.

Clear gloss and satin films come from Defcon Films Australia first, with STEK as our second range. STEK DYNO films carry a ten year warranty against yellowing, bubbling, cracking and delamination.

Why Customers Come to Us

Let us be straight: Mitcham is not around the corner from Footscray. What you get for the drive is indoor bays, inspection lighting and our own team on your car, rather than a van in a car park. More about who we are, and if you are comparing shops, our guide to the best PPF in Melbourne lists what to check.

Booking and Turnaround

Headlight film is under an hour, a full front about two days and full body film about a week. Because of the distance, we plan the work so the car needs one drop-off and one pickup, even when several jobs are booked together. We confirm the timing when you book.

Washing a Filmed Car

pH neutral shampoo, a soft mitt, no brush car washes, and keep the pressure washer a hand span from film edges. Bird droppings and sap should come off promptly, and stubborn water spots come out at our counter in minutes. The full routine is on our aftercare page.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

How far is Liquid R from Footscray?

The workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 31.6 km from Footscray, roughly 45 minutes by car outside peak hour.

Do Footscray customers pay the same price?

Yes. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car in?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

Does PPF damage the paint when it comes off?

No. Professionally removed film releases with heat and leaves factory paint as it was when covered.

Should I get PPF or a ceramic coating?

Film stops stone chips and a coating makes the car easier to keep clean. Many owners do film on the front and a coating over the rest.
