The Drive from Blackburn
From Blackburn the workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 5.3 km away, roughly 10 minutes via Whitehorse Road outside peak hour. There is parking on site and a bay booked for your arrival. If you would rather not wait, Mitcham and Heatherdale stations on the Lilydale and Belgrave lines are both about 1.5 km from the workshop. Directions and opening hours are on our contact page.
Headlight Film from $180
Polycarbonate headlight lenses yellow and pit, and a modern headlight unit can cost more than a full front of film. Precut clear film keeps them clear and goes on in under an hour while you wait.
Washing a Filmed Car
pH neutral shampoo, a soft mitt, no brush car washes, and keep the pressure washer a hand span from film edges. Bird droppings and sap should come off promptly, and stubborn water spots come out at our counter in minutes. The full routine is on our aftercare page.
Car Park Knocks and Stone Chips
Local driving brings its own damage: door edges tapped in shopping centre car parks, handle cups scratched by rings, and stones from the car in front. A wear and tear pack from $380 covers the first two.
How Self-Healing Film Works
PPF is urethane with an elastic top coat, one of the products and technologies we work with. Light scratches and wash marks sit in that top layer, and warmth from the sun or warm water relaxes them back out. A cut through the film is the damage that would otherwise have been in your paint.
Edges Wrapped, Not Cut Short
The edge is the weak point of any film job. Where the panel allows it, film is wrapped around the edge and finished out of sight, so there is no line to see and nothing for a pressure washer to lift. It is one of the checks in our guide to the best PPF.

Planning the Visit
Headlight film is under an hour, a full front about two days and full body film about a week. Blackburn is close enough that waiting at home while we work is realistic. Saturday mornings are open 8:30am to 12:30pm.
Wear and Tear Pack from $380
Door cups, door edges and the boot ledge pick up marks on every car, however carefully it is driven. This pack covers them in clear film and is the cheapest way to keep a car looking looked after at trade-in.
