Ceramic Coating near Preston

Washing a Coated Car

pH neutral shampoo, a rinse before contact, no brush car washes, and a clean towel or blower to dry, as set out in our guide to washing a coated car. Done that way the coating keeps beading and nothing gritty gets dragged across the paint.

Road Grime From the Commute

Freeway driving on roads like Eastern Freeway coats a car in road film, bugs and brake dust. A ceramic coating lets most of it rinse off, so the car stays clean longer between washes.

How Long It Lasts

A professionally applied coating protects for two to five years in normal Melbourne use, and well maintained cars have stretched ours toward nine. The wash routine makes most of the difference, and our list of mistakes to avoid after a coating covers the rest.

Coated Indoors

Coating in a driveway lets wind-blown dust settle into the wet coating. Our bays are indoors, lit for inspection and kept at a steady temperature so the coating cures the way its maker intended.

Why Customers Come to Us

We are not a mobile service and we do not have a Preston shopfront. The work is done in Mitcham because ceramic coating needs dust-free bays, inspection lighting and time, all of which a driveway lacks. More about who we are, and if you are comparing shops, our guide to the best ceramic coating in Melbourne lists what to check.

Planning the Visit

Coatings need curing time, so most cars stay with us for a couple of days. Tell us when you can drop off and collect, and we schedule the job around those times. We are open weekdays 8:30am to 5:00pm and Saturdays to 12:30pm.

Ceramic or Graphene

Both cure into a hard layer over the clear coat. Graphene adds a slicker finish and lower surface tension, so it spots less on hot panels. If the car sleeps outside, graphene usually earns its extra cost.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

How far is Liquid R from Preston?

The workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 22.9 km from Preston, roughly 35 minutes by car outside peak hour.

Do Preston customers pay the same price?

Yes. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car in?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

How long does a ceramic coating last?

Two to five years in normal Melbourne use with a proper wash routine, and longer on well maintained cars.

Ceramic or graphene coating?

Both protect the clear coat. Graphene is slicker and spots less on hot panels, which suits cars parked outside.
