Ceramic Coating Mitcham

Ceramic Coating in Mitcham

Liquid R is based in Mitcham, at 12/23A Cook Road. Ceramic coating starts at $980 on bare paint, including decontamination and machine polish, and new car packages start at $1090. Everything is done in our own indoor bays, by our own team, in a 1,000 square metre workshop we have run since 2015.

A coating keeps paint glossy and easy to wash for two to five years in normal Melbourne use. It will not stop stone chips, so plenty of owners pair it with film on the front, which we can fit in the same booking.

Every quote is a fixed figure before the car is booked, and it is the same whichever suburb you come from. Call 1800 985 880 or text 0483 930 888 to book.

In Mitcham Itself

The workshop is at 12/23A Cook Road, about 1.5 km from both Mitcham and Heatherdale stations on the Lilydale and Belgrave lines, with parking on site. Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm, Saturday 8:30am to 12:30pm.

Ceramic coating being applied with an applicator block

Ceramic or Graphene

Both cure into a hard layer over the clear coat. Graphene adds a slicker finish and lower surface tension, so it spots less on hot panels. If the car sleeps outside, graphene usually earns its extra cost.

Dual Layer Upgrade

For owners chasing more durability, packages can be upgraded to a dual layer coating or to Labocosmetica STC and HPC Pro. We will tell you plainly when the standard coating is all your car needs.

Trees, Birds and Parking Outside

Cars parked on the street or under trees collect sap and bird droppings that etch bare paint in the sun. A coated surface buys time and releases them with a gentle wash.

How Long It Lasts

A professionally applied coating protects for two to five years in normal Melbourne use, and well maintained cars have stretched ours toward nine. The wash routine makes most of the difference, and our list of mistakes to avoid after a coating covers the rest.

What a Coating Does Not Do

A coating is microns thick. It will not stop a stone chip and it will not fill existing scratches. Chips need paint protection film, and scratches need correction before the coating locks them in.

Our Only Workshop

Everything we do happens here, in ten indoor bays across 1,000 square metres. No mobile vans, no subcontractors, so the people who quote your ceramic coating are the people who fit it. More about who we are, and if you are comparing shops, our guide to the best ceramic coating in Melbourne lists what to check.

How Long the Car Stays

Coatings need curing time, so most cars stay with us for a couple of days. Being this close to Mitcham, a morning drop-off and an afternoon pickup is simple to fit around a working day. Saturday mornings are open 8:30am to 12:30pm.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

Do Mitcham customers pay the same price?

No. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you offer a mobile service?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

Does my car need correction before coating?

If the paint has swirls or scratches, yes, because the coating seals in what is underneath. New cars usually need only a light polish.

Does a ceramic coating stop stone chips?

No. It protects against UV, staining, water spots and wash marks. Stone chips need paint protection film.
