Liquid R is based in Mitcham, at 12/23A Cook Road. Tint starts at $495 for genuine 3M Color Stable, with 3M Ceramic IR from $595 and Crystalline from $750, all in legal Victorian shades. Everything is done in our own indoor bays, by our own team, in a 1,000 square metre workshop we have run since 2015.

Every film we fit is metal free, blocks 99 percent of UV and comes in legal Victorian shades, with front side windows at 35 percent or lighter. Films are plotter cut to your glass and fitted in our own bays.

The workshop is at 12/23A Cook Road, about 1.5 km from both Mitcham and Heatherdale stations on the Lilydale and Belgrave lines, with parking on site. Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm, Saturday 8:30am to 12:30pm.

Tint in a New Car Package

3M Color Stable is built into Pack 3 and Pack 4 of our new car packages, and both can be upgraded to Ceramic IR or CoolVue. One drop-off covers coating, interior protection and tint.

Glass Roofs and Crystal Shield

Panoramic roofs on cars like the Tesla let in heat even when the glass blocks UV. We tint the roof glass or fit Crystal Shield, a clear film from $350 that cuts heat soak and adds a strike face against falling stones.

Parked in the Sun

A car parked outside all day can be unbearable to get into in January. Tint blocks 99 percent of UV and ceramic films reject the infrared heat, so the cabin and dashboard stay cooler.

Darker Is Not Cooler

Shade blocks the light you see, while heat arrives mostly as infrared you feel. A dark budget tint can let more heat in than a light ceramic film, so the real choice is film technology within the legal shade. Our ceramic tint guide explains why.

Legal Shades in Victoria

Under Victorian tint laws, front side windows must pass at least 35 percent of visible light. Rear side windows and the rear screen can go darker on most passenger cars. We fit the darkest legal shade by default and tell you if a combination would fail a roadworthy.

Our Only Workshop

Everything we do happens here, in ten indoor bays across 1,000 square metres. No mobile vans, no subcontractors, so the people who quote your window tinting are the people who fit it. Booking and Turnaround

A standard tint is usually same day. Being this close to Mitcham, a morning drop-off and an afternoon pickup is simple to fit around a working day. Saturday mornings are open 8:30am to 12:30pm.

Warranty for as Long as You Own the Car

3M automotive films are warranted against purpling, bubbling, peeling and delaminating for as long as you own the car, and the warranty is registered to the car.

Is pricing different for Mitcham?

No. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you offer a mobile service?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

How long until I can wind the windows down?

Leave them up for two to three days so the adhesive cures. A light haze in the first week is normal.

Will tint affect GPS or my e-tag?

No. Every film we fit is metal free, so tolls, GPS and phone signals are unaffected.
