We have coated cars in Mitcham since 2015 as Gtechniq trained applicators. Wheels can be coated for $60 each, and leather and fabric protection is part of the higher new car packages.

What a Coating Does
The coating bonds to the clear coat and fills the tiny pores that make paint grab dirt. Rain beads and rolls off, bugs release with a rinse, and the clear coat is shielded from UV and chemical staining.
Coating Versus Wax

Freeway driving on roads like EastLink coats a car in road film, bugs and brake dust. A ceramic coating lets most of it rinse off, so the car stays clean longer between washes.
Coating Over PPF
A ceramic layer can go over paint protection film in the same booking for $650. The film takes the stone chips and the coating keeps it easy to wash.
How Long It Lasts

What a Coating Does Not Do
A coating is microns thick. It will not stop a stone chip and it will not fill existing scratches. Chips need paint protection film, and scratches need correction before the coating locks them in.
