Dust and Building Sites

Construction dust and muddy roads around new estates settle on paint every day. A coating sheds that dust with a rinse, which keeps weekend washing short.

Water Spots and Bore Water

Sprinklers and bore water leave mineral rings that etch bare paint in the sun. Graphene chemistry in particular resists those spots, and a coated panel releases them with a normal wash.

Pakenham Customers, One Workshop

Liquid R has one workshop, in Mitcham, and it is a fair drive from Pakenham. Customers make the trip because the work is done indoors by our own team rather than in a driveway, and we plan the booking so it takes one visit, not several. More about who we are, and if you are comparing shops, our guide to the best ceramic coating in Melbourne lists what to check.

How Long the Car Stays

Coatings need curing time, so most cars stay with us for a couple of days. Because of the distance, we plan the work so the car needs one drop-off and one pickup, even when several jobs are booked together. We confirm the timing when you book.

Preparation Decides the Result

Foam pre-wash, two bucket contact wash, iron and tar removal, clay, then machine polishing under inspection lights. Skip any step and you seal dirt and swirls under glass. This preparation, the same work as a cut and polish, is most of the labour and most of the price.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

How far is Liquid R from Pakenham?

The workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 49.5 km from Pakenham, roughly 50 minutes by car outside peak hour.

Is pricing different for Pakenham?

No. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car in?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

Ceramic or graphene coating?

Both protect the clear coat. Graphene is slicker and spots less on hot panels, which suits cars parked outside.

How much is a ceramic coating?

On bare paint it starts at $980 including decontamination and single stage machine polish. New car packages with coating start at $1090, and coating over PPF is $650.
