BMW PPF Melbourne

BMW PPF and Ceramic Coating in Melbourne

BMWs come through our Mitcham workshop every week, from family X3s and X5s to M cars and the electric range. Most owners want the same two things: a front end that does not chip on the freeway, and paint that stays easy to clean. That means PPF on the panels that get hit and a ceramic coating over the rest. Full fronts start at $1980, full body film is $5980, and ceramic coating starts at $980.

Frozen and matte BMW finishes get satin film, because they can never be polished. Call 1800 985 880 or text 0483 930 888 with your model.

BMW X3 and X5 PPF

The X models have tall, broad bonnets that meet highway gravel head on, and the bumpers carry sensors and cameras that are costly to repaint around. A full front covers the bonnet, bumper, guards and mirrors, and a clear patch on the rear loading lip suits a family car. The same thinking applies to any SUV.

3 Series and 5 Series

Lower sedans and Touring wagons take stones on the bumper and bonnet leading edge first. A full front and the wear and tear pack from $380 for door edges and cups cover where these cars get marked.

BMW M Cars

Flared arches, big intakes, carbon roofs and frozen paint make M cars a job of their own. We have a dedicated page for the BMW M2, M3 and M4, and the same thinking applies to the M5 and other M models.

Frozen and Matte BMW Paint

BMW care guidance rules out polishing frozen paint, so a scratch is permanent. Satin PPF matches the frozen sheen, takes the damage and self-heals, making it the only repairable layer a frozen car can wear. See matte PPF.

Electric BMWs

Electric BMWs carry extra weight, which turns road grit into faster projectiles, and their glass roofs let in heat. Front end film and Crystal Shield for the roof, from $350, are the usual setup. More on EV paint protection.

Ceramic Coating for BMW

Gtechniq or graphene coatings over decontaminated, polished paint keep a BMW beading and easy to wash for years. Black Sapphire and other dark metallics show swirls first, so a coating is worth it on those. See ceramic paint protection.

Window Tint for BMW

Plenty of BMWs, the X models especially, arrive with factory privacy glass in the rear. 3M Crystalline from $750 or Ceramic IR from $595 on the front sides adds heat rejection while matching the factory look, within Victorian legal limits.

Wheels and Brake Dust

BMW brakes dust heavily, and the dust bakes onto alloys and pits the finish. Wheel ceramic, $60 per wheel, lets it rinse off. Calipers can be coated at the same time.

New BMW Packages

A new BMW is best protected before its first freeway run. Our new car protection packages from $1090 to $4090 combine coating, interior protection, tint and front end PPF in one booking.

BMW Wear and Tear Pack

Door edges, door cups, the boot ledge and the sills, from $380. Sports seats sit low, so heels drag across the sills more than on most cars, and the film takes that wear instead of the paint.

Carbon Roofs and Trim

Clear coated carbon yellows and goes chalky under UV years before paint does. Optically clear film blocks the UV and keeps the weave crisp on roofs, spoilers and mirror caps.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

How much is PPF on a BMW?

Full front PPF starts at $1980 and full body clear film is $5980 for most models. Larger X models and M cars with complex bumpers are quoted individually.

Can frozen BMW paint be protected?

Yes, with satin PPF. Frozen paint cannot be polished, so the film takes the scratches instead and self-heals light marks.

Should I coat or film my new BMW?

Film the front if the car does freeway driving and coat the rest for easy washing. Garaged weekend cars can often start with a ceramic coating alone.

Do you tint BMWs with factory privacy glass?

Yes. We usually fit 3M Crystalline or Ceramic IR to the front sides so the heat rejection improves and the look matches the rear glass.

Do you work on electric BMWs?

Yes. Electric BMWs get the same film and coating options, plus Crystal Shield film for glass roofs.
