No Signal Problems

Every film we fit is metal free, so e-tags, GPS, DAB radio, phones and keyless entry work as before. Signal trouble comes from metallised budget films.

Sun on the Commute

Morning and evening runs on roads like Eastern Freeway put the low sun straight onto the side glass. Ceramic films cut that heat and glare, and every film we fit blocks 99 percent of UV.

Defcon CoolVue from $695

The flagship ceramic tint from Defcon Films Australia, with 99 percent UV and 98 percent infrared rejection. It stays clear at low sun angles, when cheaper films go hazy.

Stopping Interior Fade

UV is what cracks dashboards and fades leather and trim. Tint is cheap insurance for an interior, and it pairs well with the leather and fabric protection we apply during detailing.

Why Customers Come to Us

We are not a mobile service and we do not have a Collingwood shopfront. The work is done in Mitcham because window tinting needs dust-free bays, inspection lighting and time, all of which a driveway lacks. More about who we are, and if you are comparing shops, our guide to the best car tinting in Melbourne lists what to check.

Planning the Visit

A standard tint is usually same day. We agree the drop-off and pickup times with you up front, so a trip from Collingwood fits your week rather than the other way round. We are open weekdays 8:30am to 5:00pm and Saturdays to 12:30pm.

Old Tint Removed

Purple or bubbled film, the usual end of cheap tint, comes off with heat, including the glue on the demister lines, and the glass is cleaned back before new film goes on. Illegal tint from a previous owner is swapped for a legal shade in the same visit.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

How far is Liquid R from Collingwood?

The workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 23.7 km from Collingwood, roughly 30 minutes by car outside peak hour.

Is pricing different for Collingwood?

No. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car in?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

What is the difference between dyed and ceramic tint?

Dyed film blocks light and UV at a lower price. Ceramic film also rejects infrared heat, so the cabin stays cooler.

What does the tint warranty cover?

Bubbling, peeling, cracking and colour change are covered by the film maker, and our workmanship is covered by us, in writing.
