Car Detailing Lilydale

Car Detailing near Lilydale

Lilydale drivers come to Liquid R in Mitcham for car detailing. The workshop is about 16.7 km from Lilydale, roughly 25 minutes by car outside peak hour. Detailing covers decontamination, staged machine correction and full interior work, with machine polishing from $850.

Detailing is often the first step before a coating or film, because both lock in whatever finish sits underneath. A maintenance detail usually takes a day, and correction one to three days.

Prices are the same wherever you live: the quote depends on the car, not the postcode. Call 1800 985 880 or text 0483 930 888 to book.

Lilydale to Mitcham

Allow roughly 25 minutes from Lilydale outside peak hour. The route is about 16.7 km via Maroondah Highway and Ringwood Bypass, ending at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham, where there is parking out the front. Lilydale is on the same train line as us: Mitcham and Heatherdale stations are each about 1.5 km from the workshop, so leaving the car and taking the train home works. Directions and opening hours are on our contact page.

Detailing Is Not a Car Wash

A proper detail goes further than a wash. A wash removes what is loose. Detailing removes what has bonded: iron particles, tar, tree sap and water minerals baked on by summer. Only then can you see what the paint really looks like.

Swirls, Water Spots and Sun Damage

Melbourne paint collects wash swirls from brush car washes, mineral rings from sprinklers, oxidised patches from years of UV and fine car park door marks. Each has its own fix, and most look worse than they are. Dark paint shows them most, as our article on protecting dark cars explains.

Commuter Car Grime

Daily runs on Maroondah Highway leave iron particles and brake dust bonded to the paint and wheels. A proper detail removes them before they etch, and a coating afterwards slows the build-up.

Water Spot Removal

Mineral rings from sprinklers and summer rain etch into paint and glass if they sit. Fresh spots wash off, older ones need a dedicated remover or a polish, and we tell you which before we start. Our washing dos and don’ts help stop them coming back.

Leather and Fabric Protection

After the clean we can protect: Gtechniq L1 for leather and I1 for fabric. Both slow how fast liquid soaks in, which turns a coffee spill from a stain into a wipe.

How Long the Car Stays

A maintenance detail is usually a day, and correction runs one to three days. Tell us when you can drop off and collect, and we schedule the job around those times. We are open weekdays 8:30am to 5:00pm and Saturdays to 12:30pm.

Clear Coat Is Finite

Every cut removes a little clear coat, and modern cars leave the factory with less of it than ever. That is why we measure the result as we go and never cut a whole panel hard to chase two scratches. Our guide to a good cut and polish explains why.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

How far is Liquid R from Lilydale?

The workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 16.7 km from Lilydale, roughly 25 minutes by car outside peak hour.

Is pricing different for Lilydale?

No. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car in?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

Is detailing worth it before selling?

Almost always. The detail usually costs less than the first haggle a tired car invites.

Do you do paint correction?

Yes. Correction is staged by machine under inspection lights, from $850, and quoted after we see the paint.
