Detailing Is Not a Car Wash

A proper detail goes further than a wash. A wash removes what is loose. Detailing removes what has bonded: iron particles, tar, tree sap and water minerals baked on by summer. Only then can you see what the paint really looks like.

Exterior Detailing

Full decontamination, then staged machine correction, what most Australians call a cut and polish, to cut back swirl marks, light scratches and oxidation before polishing to a deep gloss. It changes how the paint reads in daylight.

Dust Inside and Out

Building site dust works its way into vents and carpets as well as onto the paint. An interior detail with full extraction gets it out, and a coating outside slows it settling back in.

Odour Treatment

Smoke, pets, gym gear and spilt milk leave smells that air freshener only covers. Full extraction and odour treatment remove the source, so the cabin smells of nothing. See classic car detailing for older interiors.

Selling the Car? Detail It First

Buyers price what they see. A corrected, deep cleaned car photographs and negotiates better, and the detail usually costs less than the first price drop a tired car takes. For high value cars, see prestige car detailing.

Why Customers Come to Us

Liquid R has one workshop, in Mitcham, and Hampton Park customers come to it. That is deliberate: car detailing work needs clean indoor bays and proper lighting that a mobile setup cannot match, and every job is done by our own team. More about who we are, and if you are comparing shops, our guide to the best car detailing in Melbourne lists what to check.

Planning the Visit

A maintenance detail is usually a day, and correction runs one to three days. For Hampton Park customers we line up drop-off and pickup times when you book, so you know exactly which days the car is with us. We are open weekdays 8:30am to 5:00pm and Saturdays to 12:30pm.

Interior Detailing

Carpets and mats extracted, leather cleaned and fed, vents and switchgear brushed out. Sunscreen film on plastics and coffee in the console both come out, and the cabin leaves smelling of nothing. Why it is worth doing properly is covered in the benefits of a premium detail.

The workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 29.2 km from Hampton Park, roughly 35 minutes by car outside peak hour.

Do Hampton Park customers pay the same price?

No. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car in?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

What is in each detailing package?

Basic is a decontamination wash and interior clean, Deluxe adds machine polish and interior protection, and Premium adds multi-stage correction and protection.
