Usually Same Day

A standard car is dropped in the morning and collected in the afternoon. Keep the windows up for two to three days while the adhesive cures, and expect a light haze in the first week that clears on its own.

3M Crystalline from $750

3M’s top film stacks over 200 optical layers and rejects up to 97 percent of infrared while staying almost clear. It suits drivers who want a cool cabin with a light look.

Sun on the Commute

Morning and evening runs on roads like EastLink put the low sun straight onto the side glass. Ceramic films cut that heat and glare, and every film we fit blocks 99 percent of UV.

Legal Shades in Victoria

Under Victorian tint laws, front side windows must pass at least 35 percent of visible light. Rear side windows and the rear screen can go darker on most passenger cars. We fit the darkest legal shade by default and tell you if a combination would fail a roadworthy.

Defcon CoolVue from $695

The flagship ceramic tint from Defcon Films Australia, with 99 percent UV and 98 percent infrared rejection. It stays clear at low sun angles, when cheaper films go hazy.

One Workshop, in Mitcham

We do not have a Wantirna branch, and we do not need one: Wantirna is one of the closest areas to our Mitcham workshop. Every window tinting job is done indoors in our own bays by our own team, never by a mobile van in your driveway. More about who we are, and if you are comparing shops, our guide to the best car tinting in Melbourne lists what to check.

How Long the Car Stays

A standard tint is usually same day. Wantirna is close enough that waiting at home while we work is realistic. Saturday mornings are open 8:30am to 12:30pm.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

How far is Liquid R from Wantirna?

The workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 7.1 km from Wantirna, roughly 15 minutes by car outside peak hour.

Do Wantirna customers pay the same price?

No. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car in?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

How long until I can wind the windows down?

Leave them up for two to three days so the adhesive cures. A light haze in the first week is normal.

What is the difference between dyed and ceramic tint?

Dyed film blocks light and UV at a lower price. Ceramic film also rejects infrared heat, so the cabin stays cooler.
