Window Tinting Keilor

Window Tinting for Keilor Drivers

Liquid R serves Keilor and the rest of Melbourne’s west from one workshop in Mitcham, about 44 km away and roughly 55 minutes by car outside peak hour. Tint starts at $495 for genuine 3M Color Stable, with 3M Ceramic IR from $595 and Crystalline from $750, all in legal Victorian shades.

Ceramic films such as 3M Ceramic IR and Defcon CoolVue reject the infrared heat you feel through the glass, while 3M Color Stable keeps the price down. 3M films are warranted for as long as you own the car.

Prices are the same wherever you live: the quote depends on the car, not the postcode. Call 1800 985 880 or text 0483 930 888 to book.

Old Tint Removed

Purple or bubbled film, the usual end of cheap tint, comes off with heat, including the glue on the demister lines, and the glass is cleaned back before new film goes on. Illegal tint from a previous owner is swapped for a legal shade in the same visit.

Legal Shades in Victoria

Under Victorian tint laws, front side windows must pass at least 35 percent of visible light. Rear side windows and the rear screen can go darker on most passenger cars. We fit the darkest legal shade by default and tell you if a combination would fail a roadworthy.

Sun on the Commute

Morning and evening runs on roads like Eastern Freeway put the low sun straight onto the side glass. Ceramic films cut that heat and glare, and every film we fit blocks 99 percent of UV.

Cut to Your Glass

Films are plotter cut to the exact shape of your glass, never trimmed on the car, and fitted indoors where dust cannot get under the film.

No Signal Problems

Every film we fit is metal free, so e-tags, GPS, DAB radio, phones and keyless entry work as before. Signal trouble comes from metallised budget films.

Why Customers Come to Us

Liquid R has one workshop, in Mitcham, and it is a fair drive from Keilor. Customers make the trip because the work is done indoors by our own team rather than in a driveway, and we plan the booking so it takes one visit, not several. More about who we are, and if you are comparing shops, our guide to the best car tinting in Melbourne lists what to check.

Planning the Visit

A standard tint is usually same day. Coming from Keilor, it makes sense to combine jobs, such as film and coating, or a detail with tint, into one booking so the drive happens once. We confirm the timing when you book.

Stopping Interior Fade

UV is what cracks dashboards and fades leather and trim. Tint is cheap insurance for an interior, and it pairs well with the leather and fabric protection we apply during detailing.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

How far is Liquid R from Keilor?

The workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 44 km from Keilor, roughly 55 minutes by car outside peak hour.

Is pricing different for Keilor?

No. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car in?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

How long until I can wind the windows down?

Leave them up for two to three days so the adhesive cures. A light haze in the first week is normal.

What does the tint warranty cover?

Bubbling, peeling, cracking and colour change are covered by the film maker, and our workmanship is covered by us, in writing.
