Window Tinting Highett

Window Tinting for Highett Drivers

Liquid R serves Highett and the rest of Melbourne’s south east from one workshop in Mitcham, about 28.4 km away and roughly 40 minutes by car outside peak hour. Tint starts at $495 for genuine 3M Color Stable, with 3M Ceramic IR from $595 and Crystalline from $750, all in legal Victorian shades.

Every film we fit is metal free, blocks 99 percent of UV and comes in legal Victorian shades, with front side windows at 35 percent or lighter. Films are plotter cut to your glass and fitted in our own bays.

Customers from Highett pay the same as everyone else, because the price follows the car and the work. Call 1800 985 880 or text 0483 930 888 to book.

Usually Same Day

A standard car is dropped in the morning and collected in the afternoon. Keep the windows up for two to three days while the adhesive cures, and expect a light haze in the first week that clears on its own.

Parked in the Sun

A car parked outside all day can be unbearable to get into in January. Tint blocks 99 percent of UV and ceramic films reject the infrared heat, so the cabin and dashboard stay cooler.

Darker Is Not Cooler

Shade blocks the light you see, while heat arrives mostly as infrared you feel. A dark budget tint can let more heat in than a light ceramic film, so the real choice is film technology within the legal shade. Our ceramic tint guide explains why.

Privacy for Passengers

Darker legal shades on the rear glass keep eyes off child seats, bags and laptops, while every shade we fit blocks 99 percent of UV for the people sitting in the back.

Why Customers Come to Us

We have no branch out near Highett, only our Mitcham workshop. If the drive suits you, the work is done indoors by staff who do this every day, and the booking is planned around a single trip. More about who we are, and if you are comparing shops, our guide to the best car tinting in Melbourne lists what to check.

Booking and Turnaround

A standard tint is usually same day. Because of the distance, we plan the work so the car needs one drop-off and one pickup, even when several jobs are booked together. We confirm the timing when you book.

Legal Shades in Victoria

Under Victorian tint laws, front side windows must pass at least 35 percent of visible light. Rear side windows and the rear screen can go darker on most passenger cars. We fit the darkest legal shade by default and tell you if a combination would fail a roadworthy.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

How far is Liquid R from Highett?

The workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 28.4 km from Highett, roughly 40 minutes by car outside peak hour.

Do Highett customers pay the same price?

No. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car in?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

Front side windows need at least 35 percent visible light transmission. Rear side windows and the rear screen can be darker on most passenger cars.

Will tint affect GPS or my e-tag?

No. Every film we fit is metal free, so tolls, GPS and phone signals are unaffected.
