Defcon CoolVue from $695

The flagship ceramic tint from Defcon Films Australia, with 99 percent UV and 98 percent infrared rejection. It stays clear at low sun angles, when cheaper films go hazy.

Glass Roofs and Crystal Shield

Panoramic roofs on cars like the Tesla let in heat even when the glass blocks UV. We tint the roof glass or fit Crystal Shield, a clear film from $350 that cuts heat soak and adds a strike face against falling stones.

Sun on the Commute

Morning and evening runs on roads like EastLink put the low sun straight onto the side glass. Ceramic films cut that heat and glare, and every film we fit blocks 99 percent of UV.

Old Tint Removed

Purple or bubbled film, the usual end of cheap tint, comes off with heat, including the glue on the demister lines, and the glass is cleaned back before new film goes on. Illegal tint from a previous owner is swapped for a legal shade in the same visit.

Legal Shades in Victoria

Under Victorian tint laws, front side windows must pass at least 35 percent of visible light. Rear side windows and the rear screen can go darker on most passenger cars. We fit the darkest legal shade by default and tell you if a combination would fail a roadworthy.

Dandenong Customers, One Workshop

We are not a mobile service and we do not have a Dandenong shopfront. The work is done in Mitcham because window tinting needs dust-free bays, inspection lighting and time, all of which a driveway lacks. More about who we are, and if you are comparing shops, our guide to the best car tinting in Melbourne lists what to check.

How Long the Car Stays

A standard tint is usually same day. For Dandenong customers we line up drop-off and pickup times when you book, so you know exactly which days the car is with us. We are open weekdays 8:30am to 5:00pm and Saturdays to 12:30pm.

Films are plotter cut to the exact shape of your glass, never trimmed on the car, and fitted indoors where dust cannot get under the film.
