Indoors, Under Proper Lights

Every detail is done in our indoor bays, lit for inspection so defects are visible while we work. Polishing outdoors in bright sun hides swirls that show up later. More on what a proper detail changes.

Clear Coat Is Finite

Every cut removes a little clear coat, and modern cars leave the factory with less of it than ever. That is why we measure the result as we go and never cut a whole panel hard to chase two scratches. Our guide to a good cut and polish explains why.

Commuter Car Grime

Daily runs on CityLink leave iron particles and brake dust bonded to the paint and wheels. A proper detail removes them before they etch, and a coating afterwards slows the build-up.

PPF Refresh

For cars already wearing film: the film is washed with DFA Surface Cleaner from Defcon Films Australia, water spots are lifted, edges are checked and the film is resealed so it beads like the week it went on. Between visits, follow our aftercare routine.

Cut and Polish from $850

Machine polishing starts from $850. We start with the lightest cut that shows a result and work the deeper defects individually, because clear coat is finite and modern cars have less of it than ever.

South Melbourne Customers, One Workshop

We have no branch out near South Melbourne, only our Mitcham workshop. If the drive suits you, the work is done indoors by staff who do this every day, and the booking is planned around a single trip. More about who we are, and if you are comparing shops, our guide to the best car detailing in Melbourne lists what to check.

Booking and Turnaround

A maintenance detail is usually a day, and correction runs one to three days. Coming from South Melbourne, it makes sense to combine jobs, such as film and coating, or a detail with tint, into one booking so the drive happens once. We confirm the timing when you book.

Leather and Fabric Protection

After the clean we can protect: Gtechniq L1 for leather and I1 for fabric. Both slow how fast liquid soaks in, which turns a coffee spill from a stain into a wipe.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

How far is Liquid R from South Melbourne?

The workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 27.7 km from South Melbourne, roughly 40 minutes by car outside peak hour.

Who does the best car detailing near South Melbourne?

Judge any shop on the things that decide the result: inspection before quoting, staged machine correction under proper lights, deep interior work and an honest answer on what will not come out. That is how we work at our Mitcham workshop, about 27.7 km from South Melbourne, and we are happy to show you finished cars before you book.

Is pricing different for South Melbourne?

No. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car in?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

What is in each detailing package?

Basic is a decontamination wash and interior clean, Deluxe adds machine polish and interior protection, and Premium adds multi-stage correction and protection.

Is detailing worth it before selling?

Almost always. The detail usually costs less than the first haggle a tired car invites.
