No Signal Problems

Every film we fit is metal free, so e-tags, GPS, DAB radio, phones and keyless entry work as before. Signal trouble comes from metallised budget films.

Glass Roofs and Crystal Shield

Panoramic roofs on cars like the Tesla let in heat even when the glass blocks UV. We tint the roof glass or fit Crystal Shield, a clear film from $350 that cuts heat soak and adds a strike face against falling stones.

Sun on the Commute

Morning and evening runs on roads like Maroondah Highway put the low sun straight onto the side glass. Ceramic films cut that heat and glare, and every film we fit blocks 99 percent of UV.

Usually Same Day

A standard car is dropped in the morning and collected in the afternoon. Keep the windows up for two to three days while the adhesive cures, and expect a light haze in the first week that clears on its own.

Old Tint Removed

Purple or bubbled film, the usual end of cheap tint, comes off with heat, including the glue on the demister lines, and the glass is cleaned back before new film goes on. Illegal tint from a previous owner is swapped for a legal shade in the same visit.

Planning the Visit

A standard tint is usually same day. For Mooroolbark customers we line up drop-off and pickup times when you book, so you know exactly which days the car is with us. We are open weekdays 8:30am to 5:00pm and Saturdays to 12:30pm.

Legal Shades in Victoria

Under Victorian tint laws, front side windows must pass at least 35 percent of visible light. Rear side windows and the rear screen can go darker on most passenger cars. We fit the darkest legal shade by default and tell you if a combination would fail a roadworthy.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you book. Anything else, call 1800 985 880.

How far is Liquid R from Mooroolbark?

The workshop at 12/23A Cook Road, Mitcham is about 12.8 km from Mooroolbark, roughly 20 minutes by car outside peak hour.

Do Mooroolbark customers pay the same price?

No. Every price is the same wherever you live. The quote depends on the car and the work, never the postcode.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car in?

Every job is done at our Mitcham workshop. Film, coatings and tint need clean indoor bays and proper lighting, which a driveway cannot give, and that is what our results depend on.

What is the difference between dyed and ceramic tint?

Dyed film blocks light and UV at a lower price. Ceramic film also rejects infrared heat, so the cabin stays cooler.

Front side windows need at least 35 percent visible light transmission. Rear side windows and the rear screen can be darker on most passenger cars.
